This Black Hearts Brigade knit top is the second half of my first successful order from Belle & Clive. I liked both the studding detail and the unusual shape of the neckline. It feels a little … rock and roll. (They did name the shirt “You Rock”!)
And who doesn’t want to channel their inner superstar from time to time?
Since the top is fairly long, I thought I should choose slimmer fitting denim for the bottom: my new favorite Hudson skinny ankle-length jeans.
You can’t tell from the photo, but the wash of the denim is slightly variegated, one of the reasons I like them so much. The other is that they’re soft with a bit of give–just the way denim should be.
I have a few pairs of black sandals I could have chosen to wear with this outfit (maybe too many!) but new won out, so I picked these Nine West black and tan cage sandals I recently scored at DSW.
