There’s regular summer hot, and then there’s this summer.
In the midst of relentless heat, I find myself turning to dresses and skirts a lot. Not only are they cooler than trousers, but a dress in particular makes an outfit that requires less thought from my heat-fried brain to assemble.
This outfit combines pieces I’ve worn before (and you may even remember).
The dress last made an appearance during the winter, oddly enough.
The floral print feels a bit Asian influenced to me, so I thought of pairing it with this blue obi belt (last seen last summer.)
I thought these taupe shoes worked with the colors in the print.
I was stumped on a necklace, though. I don’t have anything the right weight or colors to balance the pattern and the belt, so I finally just went with a simple chain necklace with gold and silver interlocking rings.
